Amber Sound FM
Amber Sound FM is a local radio station based in Ripley and broadcasting on 107.2 FM and online 24 hours a day.
The station is predominantly music based and offers an alternative to the independent stations with a music selection stretching over 60 years and radio presenters that are allowed to put out their personality on air.
The station prides itself on listener interaction and invites contact by text, email, phone and chatbox at all hours of the day. Much of the time they are a request or dedication station and listeners certainly take advantage of this. They are a 'not-for-profit' organisation which relies on advertising sales, national and local grants and donations.

The Derbyshire Times
The Derbyshire Times is a weekly newspaper based in Chesterfield and sold throughout northern Derbyshire, including the towns of Dronfield, Staveley, Bolsover, North Wingfield, Clay Cross, Alfreton, Wirksworth, Matlock and Bakewell, as well as the High Peak area around Hathersage.
There are two editions of the newspaper, the North Derbyshire edition (by far the larger) and the Alfreton edition. The paper comes out on Thursdays.

The Alfreton Chad
The Alfreton Chad is a weekly free newspaper for Alfreton and for other nearby towns and villages, including Somercotes, Swanwick, Pinxton, South Normanton and Selston.
Published by Johnston Publishing as a companion title to the paid-for weekly publication, the Mansfield Chad. It’s produced by the same editorial staff, based in Mansfield, and has a web presence through the Mansfield Chad's site. It comes out on Fridays.
